Moving In -
Students are allowed to move in starting at 9 am the Saturday morning of the first weekend of their semester. The first half of orientation is at 4pm on the first Sunday so students must arrive in time for orientation. Then the second half of orientation will be the next day, Monday, from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Classes begin on Monday evening and internships begin on Tuesday of the first week.
The LCWS Office will be open from 9 am to 5 pm on that arrival Saturday and 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday so that students can check in, pick up their orientation packet and apartment keys. If students plan to arrive when the office is closed either on Saturday or Sunday, they should let Laura Groth know so that we can leave keys and orientation packet in our office for them to pick-up.

Once at River Place -
Once you arrive at the River Place apartment complex and check in with LCWS, you will need to obtain a loading dock pass from the gatehouse in order to park in the loading dock and take your things to your apartment. Simply tell the security guards at the gatehouse that you are moving into your apartment (be sure you know your building and apartment number), and they will give you a loading dock pass that is valid for approximately 30 minutes. If your pass expires and you need additional time, ask for another pass from the gatehouse. Do not park in the loading dock with an expired pass or the security guards will boot or tow your car.
The LCWS office is located at 1025 Arlington Boulevard inside the River Place complex. We are located around the corner from the East Building loading dock in the back of the complex.
Parking -
There is no guest parking at River Place. Once finished unloading your car you will need to relocate your it to one of the numerous parking garages around the Rosslyn area or to a nearby metered parking spot on the street in front of River Place. Metered parking runs from 8 am to 6 pm on Saturday and is free from 6 pm on Saturday to 8 am Monday.
